Summary
Magnesium has independent vasodilatory and mild antihypertensive effects. Combined with ACE inhibitors, additive blood pressure lowering possible. ACE inhibitors may promote magnesium retention. FAERS: 11,533 reports. Monitor blood pressure. Generally well-tolerated at standard supplemental doses.
